Additionally, in October 2017, the Department of Justice indicted two Chinese nationals, one of whom was living in North Dakota at the time, for fentanyl manufacturing and distribution. They had access to a fentanyl manufacturing facility in Hong Kong that was capable of ton-quantity fentanyl production and was distributing this dangerous drug on the internet. While the exact scope of the drug situation is still somewhat murky in North Dakota, if someone is struggling with drug or alcohol addiction in the state, there is help available.
